The programme begins with an orthopaedic evaluation, which includes joint status, range of motion (ROM) testing using the internationally recognised neutral-zero method, and gait analysis. These assessments help to identify potential limitations in movement and posture and serve as the foundation for your personalised activity plan. Final consultations assess the benefits achieved, offering clear, measurable insights into your progress.

Hiking for Health positions movement as medicine. Three guided walks in a small group may include any of the following: smovey® Mental Walking, a mindfulness hike, a sensory hike, Nordic walking, a natural history walk or a forest exploration. These are complemented by professional health assessments, including metabolic screenings and musculoskeletal evaluations.
As part of the programme, wearable devices such as chest straps or fitness watches are used to monitor heart rate, pulse frequency and heart rate variability (HRV) during movement. This data supports the creation of customised exercise plans, allowing for precise adjustments to effort and intensity to match individual needs. The benefits of this moderate, adjustable exercise are not only physical but psychological – offering relief from daily stressors, improved sleep and enhanced mental clarity.
You will receive a bespoke plan shaped by medical insight, ensuring real, measurable progress.
