/ Aesthetic Flow

Health-centred design creates a symphony of elements working in harmony. As in nature, it’s not each detail alone but their interplay that creates balance. Here, hand-crafted features are an integral part of the whole.

/ Objets D’Art

Hand-crafted ceramics in organic forms, mouth-blown glass bowls and chandeliers by a renowned glass artist add elegance. Award-winning furniture by international designers perfectly balances style and function.

/ Thoughtful Design
The Mount Med Resort project carefully balances heritage protection with the high standards of a modern medical spa and the comfort of a first-class resort.
The upper floors were built using timber construction, while stones from the original building were repurposed. Alpine planting enhances the outdoor landscape, blending the resort with its natural surroundings.
Skilled local builders, carpenters, electricians, services engineers, tinsmiths, roofers and other trades were involved in the construction of this major project.
The resort’s energy is supplied through district heating and heat pumps, supported by an additional photovoltaic system for enhanced efficiency.
Design FAQs
  • Iconic Lamps

Special edition Bolle Stelo lamps, crafted from bronze and glass by Gallotti & Radice, along with table lamps by UK-based Porto Romana, bring elegant accents to the historic Tenne.

  • Strawberry Thief

Some of the headboards in the historic monastic rooms feature the famous Strawberry Thief fabric by William Morris.

  • Meridiani Loungers

The pool area features premium relaxation loungers with built-in reading lights from the Meridiani Vincent Open Air modular sofa system, designed by art director Andrea Parisio and winner of the ARCHIPRODUCTS DESIGN AWARDS 2024. Hand-woven Belgian carpets and Quettal furniture from Spain complete the design, while a striking travertine stone table (250 × 120 cm) serves as a water bar.

The hotel showcases works by 18th- and 19th-century Austrian and German painters, featuring Alpine motifs that reflect the region’s heritage.
  • Felt Art

A Dutch felt artist created bespoke nature-inspired motifs – flowers, stones and grasses – that flow through the restaurant, corridors, spa, pool area and orthopaedics department. These unique felt landscapes were crafted exclusively for Mount Med Resort.

  • Glass Art

The foyer is framed by heavy velvet curtains, with a striking 1.80-metre grey travertine table at its centre. Mouth-blown glass vessels by young Tirolean glass artist Robert Comploj adorn the table, while his custom-designed glass chandelier above completes the space.

Textiles introduce subtle colour to the Medical Spa, with soft green tones being key. Over 400 metres of handwoven Belgian fabric transition from green to white, adding to the spa’s serene design. These bespoke textiles also serve as a unifying element in the orthopaedics department.

First mentioned in 1275, this historic building – over 850 years old – once served as a tithe barn for Bavaria’s Seeon Monastery. Over the centuries, it underwent numerous renovations, including some over-restorations. More recently, it gained fame as the sociable celebrity haunt Kellerwirt before being repurposed. The latest restoration and extension, led by South Tyrolean restorer Markus Pescoller under local conservation supervision, has carefully revealed its heritage.
